Just set up a brand new knitting club in Newcastle! Its called Spinning Yarns and we're having our first meeting this thursday in a cafe in town. I'm personally hoping we'll be moving it to the Cumberland Arms, as a beer or glass of wine is aways good (although not so good for the knitting itself). Apparently they used to have one and it was great, so I think ours will be even better!
Had some very lovely mentions on the Craft Mafia blog and Made in Newcastle blog too, so will be trying very hard to keep this blog up to date in future!

ReplyDeleteMy name is Rachel Galloway and I am currently in my 3rd year at the University of Manchester studying Textile Design and Design Management. I came across your blog a few weeks ago whilst doing some general research for my final degree project. My project is called Intricate Intimates and based on creating a range of knitted and printed fabrics suitable for womens intimate/lounge wear inspired by intricate organic forms. I really love what I have seen of your work and it seams very relevent to what I am doing. How would you feel about me possibly coming to interview you at some point about your degreee show and what you are up to now? Or would it be possible to have an email address so I can ask you a few more questions? For part of my project I am writing a report and would really like to include you and your work in it as part of my research.
